September Update

Hey everyone! Greetings from the Rocky Mountains! Fall is in full swing! The leaves have changed colors and it is breathtaking! Once they start turning yellow – there’s no stopping it! The temperature has been dropping, and we have already started to see snow on the higher elevation mountains around us! Wood has been split, kindling has been “hatcheted,” and we have begun firing up the wood stoves at camp for warmth in the mornings! It’s just beautiful!

The Lord is really moving in the lives of the Bible College students! There is such a sweet unity on campus as we are all growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus. A particularly fruitful class has been Biblical Theology, where the students are learning so much good doctrine/teaching, and are growing in their walks with Jesus. Good theology is so important because the more that you Know God, the more you will love Him, and the more that you love Him, the more you will trust Him –and that’s what He wants!

We have also taken on several projects at camp, and have begun to winterize the property as the first big freeze is happening this October (per Farmer’s Almanac). The donkey’s corral is complete, and they are loving their new home. =)

Gabby and Jenny (Pastor Jeff’s wife) JUST arrived in California. They are there for a pastor’s wives conference in Murrieta! Although she would love to see everyone, it’s a time-sensitive, work trip… But we are extremely excited to see you all in December!!!!!! =D They return Wednesday night (10/03). Please pray that they will be blessed and refreshed while at the conference. I miss my wife, already!!!!!! =)

We just had our LAST outreach service out in the park today! It was awesome, and has been an awesome 9-or-so weeks! Many people got to hear the Good News of salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. Please pray for those who made decision to give their lives to Jesus; that they will walk with Jesus and grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord!

*Please pray that the Lord will give Pastor Jeff & his family an open door to live closer to the church in Glenwood; *please pray for him as His arthritis has been acting up in his knee. *Please pray that God will bring people who need to hear the Gospel and surrender their lives to Him. *Please pray that the Lord will also being team members to join in this ministry as the labor is great, and the workers are few. *Please pray that the Lord will continue to provide for us. *And please pray that the Lord will give us more and more grace – every single day – to be faithful & diligent to what He has called us to. We are laboring much, “…yet not I, but the grace of God with me.” -1 Cor. 15:10

August Update

Hey everyone! We've been so busy that we have not been able to post a new update in over a month! So much has happened in the last 30+ days, and we really want to keep sharing with you about the work here and what the Lord is doing in the mountain towns of Colorado!

After hosting/running retreats here, we switched gears and gave our attention and energy to the church plant, and making it as excellent as possible! We have JUST completed a construction project in the church in order to update the interior, and build children’s ministry class rooms. We prayed for the workers and the feasibility to help complete the project, and God moved on the hearts of a group of believers from Temecula, and from Aurora; two separate crews came out and we assisted with sweat and hours of work! It’s finally finished! Praise the Lord! It looks great!

Because of the construction project, we have been having outreach services in the park for SEVEN SUNDAYS now, and we will continue to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ out in the park on Sunday mornings through the month of September! We have seen the Lord move in many people’s lives, and have seen a number of people dedicating and rededicating their lives to Jesus!

The Lord has been giving me a LOT of grace in the worship ministry where I have grown, and am seeing the Lord use me there to encourage, build up and disciple the church body here. Gabby is running an awesome & happening children’s ministry which has grown! She is impacting those little hearts for Jesus and doing an amazing job at it with her lesson plans and crafts.

Back at the camp, we have been working really hard preparing for the Bible college semester. I have been overseeing and maintaining the facility - fixing everything from washer machines, to chainsaws, taking out the trash – and assisting Pastor Jeff with whatever he needs. Gabby has organized/planned out pretty much every detail for the Bible College semester from meals, classes, schedules, etc. – this could not happen without her! A LOT goes into these ministries! The Lord has been giving us a LOT of grace and endurance to faithfully serve here where He has called us! The hours are long, workers are few, the hats we wear are many, and the God we serve is good!

Bible College students just arrived, and we are taking them to Lost Lake tomorrow (Tuesday) through Friday. There we will orient them regarding the Bible College, we’ll get to know each other, and we will daily worship and teach them in the Word of God… not to mention great views, fishing and hiking =) Our heart is to mentor/disciple these young adults in their kowledge of the Word of God, that they would grow deeper in their walks with Him, and go further in their faith.

As the Lord has been working here more and more, the warfare has really intensified on several fronts which has been challenging; we covet your prayers. Thank you - we are confident in our God!

Your love and support are extremely appreciated! Knowing that we have loved ones praying for us gives us so much encouragement! From the bottom of our hearts, we are so thankful for all of you! And thank you for following our Blog/updates. God bless you guys!!!!!

July 2012 - MOVING FORWARD!

Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers which have been very meaningful and encouraging to us!

With much vision, potential, opportunities, and work... we have changed gears towards the church plant! Over the last few weeks we have been going over staff training and church planting direction.

Adriel is now leading worship and Gabby has been overseeing the children's ministry at Calvary Chapel Glenwood Springs which has been a blessing as we seek to disciple and bless the church body here! We are building a children's ministry here; setting the curriculum and policies in place, and we will be soon launching an awesome children's ministry which we are very excited about! We will continue spending more time in the church plant as we believe this is what the Lord wants us to do now. The Lord is randomly brining new people to service each week!

In addition to the many projects here at the camp, we are also undertaking a construction project to physically build the children's ministry with sound proof walls and two new class rooms!

We are also going over training to run a Bible College semester for this Fall! Students arrive at the end of August, so we are doing an accelerated training. =) But with much prayer and preparation, we are looking forward to an awesome semester to pour into and disciple these young people to grow in their walks with Jesus. The semester theme will be Church Planting; so we will have the students involved and frequently in Glenwood Springs, ministering to the church and community.
We also have two retreats coming in for the last two weeks of July! We are looking forward to meeting a lot of sweet people =) 67 people from Delta & Denver are coming in tomorrow! Should be fun ;)

We are moving forward! And we encourage all who read this to also continue moving forward in your relationship with Jesus, and your knowledge/obedience to His Word!

We have been working hard, and long hours, but we cannot express how blessed we are to be a part of this ministry and serving the Lord here! Again, thank you all for all of your support and encouragement! We miss and love you all VERY MUCH!
